A rectangular Byzantine castle (30 x 15m), constructed of high quality masonry, stands on top of a hill, 660m, between Palamutçukuru and Ayıveliler villages. It was probably two-storeyed and is well-preserved up to the top of the doorframes. A sign of the cross is engraved on the lintel of the entrance door in the western long facade.

The foundations and some decorated architectural materials of a large three-naved church lie 30-40m north of the castle.
